Bamboo Matcha Whisk

Handcrafted from natural bamboo, this traditional matcha whisk is designed for preparing smooth, finely frothed matcha. 

Each whisk is made from natural bamboo and finished by hand. Subtle variations in color, texture, bamboo nodes, and individual tines are part of the material’s natural character.

After the first use, the center of the whisk may naturally open and the tines may spread slightly. This is normal and part of the whisk settling into use.

Care & use

Before first use, soak the whisk briefly in warm water to soften the bamboo tines.

Use warm water rather than boiling water. Exposure to excessively hot or boiling water may cause the bamboo to warp or deform.

Whisk gently in a smooth back-and-forth motion without pressing the tips firmly against the bottom of the bowl. Avoid using the whisk with very rough or heavily textured ceramic surfaces, as excessive friction may damage or break the delicate bamboo tines.

After use, rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air-dry completely in a well-ventilated area.

The included plastic case is intended primarily to protect the whisk during shipping and is not recommended for long-term storage, as trapped moisture may damage the bamboo.

Please note

A Whisk is a delicate, naturally wearing tea tool. Individual tines may gradually bend, split, or break with regular use. Proper soaking, gentle whisking, and thorough drying will help extend its lifespan.
