Because each piece is handmade and wood-fired, variations in form, color, flashing, ash deposits, glaze,
surface texture, and firing marks are an integral part of the work rather than defects. These unique
characteristics reflect the artist’s hand and the natural movement of flame and ash within the kiln.
Care
Hand washing is recommended for the gentlest long-term care of the surface and finish. Avoid sudden
temperature changes, thermal shock, and direct flame.
